What is T-Ball?

Goal:
Introduce the sport of softball to young children. Players are introduced to different aspects of the game and work on basic game skills such as hitting (with a stationary tee ), fielding, and throwing.

Age categories:
5-7 years old (i.e., born in 2019 to 2021)

Activities that are covered:

​Throwing and catching

Batting
-
Base-running
-
Basic softball rules
-
Activities foster the involvement of players of all athletic ability and allow them to focus on skill development such as their swing and hand-eye coordination. There will be a short game at the end of the activity drills.

What equipment is needed?

Cleats or athletic running shoes
-
Softball glove
​
Team bats and helmets will be available for players who do not own them.
​
What are the season dates?

Spring-Summer: May to mid-August

Monday Nights or Wednesday Nights

Location: Heights Park in Beaconsfield
-
1 session weekly of 1 hour from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

A strong volunteer base is at the core of every successful program. Our team of volunteers is made up of amazing, dedicated parents, LGSA players and alumni. Our volunteers are essential in making girls softball a memorable experience. Resources and support are available for all volunteers, including coaches of any experience and skill level.
